Making food for future
Apetit is a Finnish food company focused on plant-based products, with strong integration into primary production. We have a long history, but our focus is firmly on the future of food: we aim to be a pioneer in plant-based food solutions.
The Apetit brand is a domestic alternative familiar from the freezer. Many of our products, such as the spinach soup recognised from its square carton packaging and the pea–corn–paprika mix, are classics in their own right.
Today, Apetit is creating the classics of the future. In addition to the popular Kasvisjauhis plant protein products, we are currently developing a rapeseed-based plant protein alternative, BlackGrain from Yellow Fields. In recent years, we have also taken significant steps in the use of domestic wild fish by bringing approachable local fish products to retail assortments.
The secret ingredient of our food
Between the field and the store lies the secret ingredient of our food – the people, the work and the expertise that season our everyday lives. If anything, this is a job that is a privilege to do: without work in the food industry, we would not have access to high-quality, delicious food and drink.
The food sector offers opportunities for every taste. Before a frozen pea, a lake fish finger or a bottle of rapeseed oil reaches the store shelf, many stages of work and a wide range of skills are needed.
